AIT held a seminar on the Attitude of Modern German Society to Islam

Dr. Rufat Sattarov, Graduate of Free University of Berlin, Senior lecturer at the European Center for Advanced Studies, delivered a presentation on the Attitude of Modern German Society to Islam.

Zarifa Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs at AIT, welcomed the seminar attendees and noted that the Institute attaches particular importance to the organization of educational and academic as well as promotional activities since its inception. Speaking of the importance of the issue, she stressed that AIT efforts to organize social and cultural activities for students along with the organization of quality of education.

Dr. Rufat Sattarov, Graduate of Free University of Berlin, Senior lecturer at the European Center for Advanced Studies delivered a presentation on the Attitude of modern German society to Islam. R. Sattarov informed the meeting attendees about the existing problems of German society which consists of diverse cultures and mutual respect of religions. He stressed that Islam is a part of modern and changing German society.

R. Sattarov emphasized that members of diverse ethnic backgrounds and cultures have the right to coexist peacefully within the borders of one state, express their cultural characteristics and lifestyles. He also mentioned the importance of benefiting from the experience of the countries where tolerance and multiculturalism dominate to integrate Muslims in Germany into society, combat extremism and religious-ideological conflicts in the world.

At the end, R.Sattarov responded to the questions from students and exchanged ideas with them.
