Admission examination to Bachelor's level of education is implemented by the State Examination Center. Admission to the 3rd major group is carried out in two directions, Islamic and Religious Studies.
Admission to Azerbaijan Institute of Theology is tuition-free. The minimum admission score for both Islamic and Religious Studies majors is 150 out of 700. Graduates of Religious Studies major will be coordinated with The State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and local higher education institutions for employment. Graduates of Islamic Studies will be coordinated with the Caucasian Muslims Office.
Applicants who want to study Islamic Studies will be interviewed by the Psychological Commission for the exmination of their interests in this field and world outlook. The Psychological Commission established by the State Examination Center includes experts, psychologists, representatives of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute. The interview examines the psychological condition of the applicants and creative thinking through a special methodological approach. During the interview, applicants’ general world outlook and religious knowledge, their relevance to the Islamic Studies major, as well as their communication and speech skills will be evaluated.
