Russian journal Minbar published an article about Azerbaijan

The last issue of the journal Minbar published by the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian National Academy of Sciences presented information about Azerbaijan.

The first page of the journal presents quotations from the speech of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the opening ceremony of the 1st International Symposium on Islamic Civilization in Caucasia: "The spread and development of Islam in the Caucasus constitutes a large part of the history of the Caucasian peoples and at the same time, it reflects the valuable contributions of Islamic civilization to the Caucasian peoples’ culture." The first page of the journal also reflects national clothes, kitchen utensils and carpets belonging to the 19th century Azerbaijan.

The journal also published articles about Azerbaijan under the editorship of Rafik Mukhametshin, Rector of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy (Russia).

The Board of Advisors of the journal include well-known scholars from different countries of the world and Chairman of the board is Vitali V. Naumkin, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

It should be noted that the journal publishes historically, psychologically and theologically grounded research works that cover all aspects of Islam and Islamic world from the birth of Islam to modern times.

Shamil Kashaf, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Research fellow of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Olga Pavlova, Associate Professor of Moscow State University of Psychology and Education attended the 2nd symposium on Islamic Civilization in Caucasia. During the meetings organized at Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, the representatives of the journal decided to highlight the 2nd International Symposium on Islamic Civilization in Caucasia in the next issue of the journal.
