Webinar on Eid al-Adha

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) hosted a webinar on Eid al-Adha

The event, held through the ZOOM program, was attended by AIT administration, teachers and students.

AIT rector Agil Shirinov welcomed the webinar atendees and congratulated them on the upcoming Eid al-Adha.

Stressing that Eid al-Adha coincides with the period of pandemic, the rector urged everyone to respect the norms of the special quarantine regime as well as the instructions of the

Caucasian Muslims Office, both during the slaughter and during Eid prayers and celebrations.

Mufti Haji Salman Musayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), discussed the worship of Qurban in Islam from a historical and religious standpoint providing specific information about the event.

Mufti Haji Salman Musayev then emphasized the importance of AIT students' responsibility. He stated that graduates should correctly understand Islam and be accountable for presenting it to others in the proper manner. He wished students the best of luck in their quest.
