AIT carries out educational activities on COP29

The Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) has approved the Action Plan for the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the 19th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, and the 6th Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement.

The Action Plan, titled "Establishment of the Organizing Committee for COP29, Kyoto Protocol, and Paris Agreement," was prepared in accordance with Decree No. 4264 dated January 13, 2024, issued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Order No. 3-29/3-2-195F/2024 dated April 17, 2024, issued by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the action plan, since May 2024, educational work is being carried out in the direction of encouraging students to write articles about climate change problems, COP29, and share infographics using relevant hashtags.

Taking into account the above, AIT students created an Instagram blog called "Green Planet". Articles on climate change, environmental protection and other global issues including COP29 are shared in the blog.

Within the framework of the project, students will continue to be educated about climate change, protection of ecological balance, rational use of natural resources and other global issues.
