Arabic language teaching is discussed at Azerbaijan Institute of Theology

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) discussed Arabic language teaching at the Institute.

The meeting discussed Arabic language teaching, students’ performance, their activity in lessons as well as teaching methods that instructors use. Mentioning the importance of mastering Arabic language at a high level, Jeyhun Mammadov noted that extracurricular activities have a positive effect in this regard. The Rector stressed that the development of new textbooks to strengthen the quality of teaching and preparation of these books by specialized instructors of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology is a priority.

Mubariz Jamalov, Vice-Rector for Organization of Teaching and Learning Technologies, spoke about the open lessons held during the educational process. He emphasized the importance of sharing experiences among instructors.

The meeting was followed by instructors’ mutual suggestions and discussions.

AIT attaches particular importance to foreign language teaching. Students have the opportunity to study English, Arabic, Hebrew and Persian at a high level. All foreign languages are taught by professional specialists based on the improvement of four language skills, reading, listening, speaking and writing. Along with the classes, the Institute offers free Arabic and English courses. In the future, extra courses for improving other foreign language skills are also planned.
