AIT holds event on “Genius living in the memory of the people: great leader Heydar Aliyev in memories”

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) held an event on “Genius living in the memory of the people: great leader Heydar Aliyev in memories” under the joint organization with the Development of Relations Among Turkish Elders Public Union (TAIB).

First, a minute of silence was observed to remember the dear memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country.

Associate Professor Agil Shirinov, Rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, stated in his opening speech that the conference was held to ensure the state level celebration of the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, in accordance with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev’s declaration of 2023 as the Year of Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan.

Agil Shirinov spoke about Heydar Aliyev’s purposeful policy for the protection of our national and moral values in the country during the Soviet era and after independence. He emphasized that Mr. President Ilham Aliyev is successfully carrying out this policy.

Sudeyif Imamverdiyev, Chairman of TAIB, academician, and member of the YAP Veterans Council, shared his memories of great leader Heydar Aliyev and discussed his life path. S. Imamverdiyev emphasized that the great leader rose to a high position at the level of Azerbaijani general union during the Soviet era. He praised the brilliant leader Heydar Aliyev for his outstanding contributions to the freedom and independence of the country.

Telli Panahgizi, Deputy Chairman of TAIB, Rector of Azerbaijan Television and Radio Academy, Honored Cultural Worker, shared her memories of the great leader Heydar Aliyev's historical contributions to the development of Azerbaijani press, his special attention and concern for the journalism in the country.

Eyvaz Hunbatov, Deputy Chairman of TAIB, former civil servant; Güllü Yoloğlu, Chairman of TAIB Women's Council, Head of World Turkology Center; Ramiz Mashadihasanli, Member of TAIB Board of Directors, Head of Türkel Broadcasting Group and Tahir Guliyev, Member of TAIB Board of Directors shared their memories of the great leader Heydar Aliyev. They discussed the great leader's invaluable services to the people of Azerbaijan, for the independence of our country, for the protection of our national and moral values.

In the end, Academician Sudeif Imamverdiyev, chairman of TAIB, presented a letter of thanks from the "Development of Relations Among Turkish Elders" Public Association to AIT rector Agil Shirinov.
