AIT students attend Turkish scholar’s seminar
The series of seminars, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) and the Idrak Public Union for students, has concluded.
Ravza Altuntaş Çakır, a teacher at the Marmara University Institute of Middle East and Islamic Countries, delivered a speech at the seminars held at AIT.
During the five-day seminars, Ravza Altuntaş Çakır, a lecturer at Marmara University Institute of Middle East and Islamic Countries, delivered presentations on various topics including "Pluralism, Diversity, and the Necessity of Coexistence: A Discussion on Modern Issues", "Towards Post-Islamism? Globalization and Muslim Politics", "Islam and Modernity", "Secularism and Islamic Classifications: Perspectives of Islamic Philosophers on Secularization", "Islamic Tradition and Political Philosophy" and "Key Trends in Contemporary Muslim Thought".
During the interactive seminars, AIT students had their questions regarding the evolution of Islamic political thought, its present status, and different trends answered. Ravza Altuntaş Chakır, the speaker, was presented with a letter of appreciation and gifts at the conclusion of the event.
It is worth mentioning that the educational institution values the arrangement of scholarly seminars on diverse subjects to broaden students’ perspectives and enhance their knowledge for the purpose of developing skilled professionals.
