AIT students visited social service organization for children with disabilities

Students of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) visited Social Service Organization No.1 for children with disabilities in Khazar district, Baku.

The aim of the visit was to support children with disabilities, get acquainted with their problems, help them and make them feel themselves an indivisible part of the society.

Supporting people who need special care and provide them with necessary attention should be main tasks of each citizen. Attention for children with special needs is one of the directions of the state policy in Azerbaijan, and the state attaches special importance to the healthy growth and future development of children.

President Ilham Aliyev’s successful social policy enhanced the provision of social service institutions. Heydar Aliyev Foundation carries out repair and reconstruction work in social service institutions for children with disabilities in the frame of “Development of children`s homes and boarding schools” project. This opened up vast opportunities for the implementation of important rehabilitation work in the direction of eliminating their functional disabilities and developing necessary skills apart from creating necessary living conditions for them.

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology carries out various projects to strengthen students’ social responsibility skills and patriotic spirit.
