AIT student delivers a sermon in Sumgayit Juma Mosque

Four students of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology visited Juma Mosque in Sumgayit and attended namaz. Haji Rauf Sardarov, Gazi of the region, enabled students to deliver sermons in the mosque. Farid Gasimzade, a second year student of the Institute in Religious Studies, delivered a sermon on “Family and Society”.

F. Gasimzade noted that Islam attaches specific importance to healthy principles in a family for the development of a healthy society. He said that if our family relationships are based on the spiritual ties, raising individuals with national and moral values will be possible. Noting that the family is the foundation for a healthy society and a strong state, F. Gasimzade said that it plays a special role in the development, socialization of people and the conveyance of national and moral values to future generations.

The participants listened to Farid Gasimzade’s speech with interest.

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology offers training in two majors, Religious Studies and Islamic Studies. The Institute attaches specific attention to the training of students who will be religious figures. Various activities are implemented to support them.
