AIT launches winter school on Religion, Culture and Society

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) will launch a winter school on Religion, Culture and Society from February 3, 2020 in Gabala.

The project includes visits to National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s monument erected in Gabala, District Martyrs Alley, Heydar Aliyev Center, Congress Center, Gabala Archaeological Center, Soltannukha Village Tomb and Jotari Church.

The winter school aims to organize trainings and seminars on Political and Legal Foundations of Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan, National-Moral Values in the Changing World and Religious Places in Azerbaijan to improve students’ world outlook and develop their polemics skills. Apart from this, the winter school will show the films such as Okhu (Reading), Vahdat (Union) and Shahadat (Witness), initiated by The State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan to organize students’ leisure time efficiently.

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology is a higher education institution established on the basis of modern education standards and international experience. The Institute organizes various events to improve students’ interest in science and to promote our national and moral values. It should be noted that the organization of winter school is important in terms of enriching students’ world outlook as well as familiarizing them with the multicultural and tolerant environment in our country.
