AIT held a meeting on the results of the fall semester

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) held its next meeting on the results of the fall semester of the current academic year. The event was attended by the Institute administration as well as instructors and discussed the overall activities and the forthcoming tasks.

AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov said that particular importance is attached to education, culture, protection of national and moral values in all spheres. The rector stressed that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, is now successfully pursuing the state-religion policy formed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who had exceptional services in the preservation of our national and moral values and its conveyance to future generations.

Mentioning the goals and objectives of the Institute, J.Mammadov discussed exams, their results, preparation for the upcoming semester, publication of textbooks and other issues.
Mubariz Jamalov, AIT Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Training Technologies, mentioned the preparation of textbooks. He noted that publication of textbooks is important in terms of systematic and transparent teaching. Textbooks should be written according to the curriculum and cover the topics comprehensively. Apart from this, the language of textbooks should be simple and should consider various denominational approaches.

Agil Shirinov, AIT Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, discussed the issues concerning students’ personal and academic development. Teachers and administrative staff of the Institute should make every effort to contribute to teaching process of students, building their future careers and enriching their world outlook.
Mirniyaz Mursalov, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, informed the participants about the results of the exams. He discussed the work carried out during the fall semester, existing problems and future activities.

Heads of the departments Ahmed Niyazov, Elnura Azizova, Ilkin Alimuradov shared their views on the educational process, the activities of teachers, publication of books, scholarly articles and future objectives.

Zarifa Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs mentioned the shortcomings concerning the exam process, results, suggestions and complaints addressed to the Exam Operational Headquarters.

The meeting continued with discussions.
